Junior Science Club

For kids ages 6-10

Registration is OPEN

Join us on the third Saturday of each month to investigate exciting science topics. Sessions are filled with new challenges, hands-on activities and interaction with local scientists. Throughout the year, kids will explore an array of fields including biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, physics, robotics and much more!

Junior Science Club is held the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for kids ages 6-10.

December - Candy Chemistry

If you have a sweet tooth for confectionery concoctions, candy chemistry is the place to be!  Discover the chemical compounds that make up your favorite sugary treat and perform plenty of sucrose experiments. 

January - Volcanoes

Children will exploring the different layers of the earth and discover how tectonic plates create different types of volcanoes.

February - Valentine's Day Science

May - The Great Cookie Caper

Jump right into the world of forensic science! Analyze evidence, investigate fingerprints, compare chromatography samples. With these skills you will uncover who stole the cookies from the cookie jar. 

June - Leaning Tower of Pasta

Use your noodle to engineer a structure that will withstand the elements, weight and the forces that make these structures strong. 

For younger kids, we offer Young Scientists workshops for you and your little scientist, ages 3-5.

For older kids, Science Clubs inspire budding innovators for ages 10-14.
