Junior Science Clubs let kids experience challenging hands-on activities and interact with local scientists. Our aim is to spark their curiosity and inspire their love of science!  Our sessions are filled with fascinating experiments and explorations that cover a variety of fields, including biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, physics, robotics and much more. The activities are specifically designed for kids aged 6–10, so your little ones can have a blast while learning something new.  

We offer two sessions every month, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., so you can pick the one that works best for your family's schedule. By joining the Junior Science Club, you will become part of our community of science enthusiasts and discover a world of possibility.

    Get ready to tinker, build, and create! Dive into the world of engineering through innovative challenges like building bridges, designing simple machines, and solving real-world engineering puzzles.
     
  • STEM Through Time
    Grades 1–4 | 9–10:30 a.m. OR 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | March 21, 2026
    Explore how science and engineering have shaped our world in this hands-on STEM workshop. Participants build simple Roman aqueduct models, test early architectural designs, and experiment with basic coding and robotics to see how technology has evolved.
     
  • Fantastic Forces of Nature
    Grades 1–4 | 9–10:30 a.m. OR 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | April 18, 2026
    Discover the power of nature and investigate natural forces like magnetism, electricity, and weather phenomena through hands-on experiments and exciting live demonstrations. Note: Moved from January
     
  • Will It Work?
    Grades 1–4 | 9–10:30 a.m. OR 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | May 16, 2026
    Put your ideas to the test in this experimental workshop! Students investigate quirky scientific questions! Can a sidewalk fry an egg? How strong is a plastic bag? Through hands-on testing and the engineering design process, participants make predictions and run experiments.
     
  • Fairground Physics
    Grades 1–4 | 9–10:30 a.m. OR 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | June 20, 2026
    Discover the physics behind your favorite fair attractions! In this interactive workshop, participants explore motion, force, energy, gravity, friction, and momentum through hands-on experiments and design challenges.
