Scout Workshops let you explore the world of science in a fun and engaging way. Our 60-minute classroom experiences are designed to spark your child's curiosity and explore science in a fun and engaging way. Led by a Fleet Science educator, our program offers exciting and interactive topics using the materials provided. 

Through Scout Workshops, your child will have the opportunity to engage with scientific concepts, ask questions and make observations. Plus, our workshops provide a unique opportunity for your child to connect with other scouts who share a passion for science.

$140 for up to 10 students, $260 for groups of 11–25 students.

Girl Scouts 

Brownie, Junior and Cadette workshops are available during the school year. Each program is held 1-3 p.m. and fulfills all badge requirements.  

Brownies: Home Scientist Badge 

Find ways that you can use science every day. Learn to be a kitchen scientist, explore static electricity, dive into density and create bubbling reactions as you experiment with science. 

Journey: “It’s Your World”

Junior Girl Scouts: Detective Badge 

Jump into the science of detecting! Practice the power of observation, communicate in code, have fun with fingerprints, look at evidence and solve a mystery.

Cadette Girl Scout: Special Agent Badge 

Uncover the mysteries of forensic science! Investigate fingerprints, reveal reality, explore the science of chromatography, key into body language and be a forensic artist.

Cub Scouts 

Spark your Cub Scout's curiosity with an exciting elective adventure! Programs are available during the school year from 1-3 p.m. 

Wolf and Bear Cub Scouts: Germs Alive  

Learn how germs are formed, what they look like, how they spread. Understand how some of these substances can be helpful for leading a healthy life. 

Webelos Badge Workshops: Earth Rocks  

Investigate rocks and minerals, test the Mohs Hardness Scale, and discover how these earth materials are used in everyday life.
