It’s Fleetster Friday! Today, we're featuring Client Services Manager Mary O’Brien. This North Park resident is in charge of all things reservations—films, workshops, school groups, she does it all! So, pack your bags and reach out to Mary to secure your tickets to CUBA, opening in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater at the Fleet on Friday, November 15.

I love science because…

... it stimulates the mind and makes us ponder about the possibilities of what lies ahead. Without science, life would be boring.

What is your absolute dream job?

Owning a horse ranch that is fully funded so that people who suffer from traumatic experiences/PTSD or children with special needs can come and heal.

Have you ever met your idol or someone you revere greatly?

YES! Muhammad Ali. I read about him in 5th grade and did a report on his life. He rose above all obstacles and his determination was unstoppable. One day, when I was a shift manager at a gas station, a limo pulled up and a larger-than-life man got out. It was Muhammad Ali and I was instantly starstruck. I was able to tell him in person how much his story touched me and how much I admired him. He was the kindest, most genuine human being. He was the GREATEST!

Are you a morning person or a night person?

Morning, for each day the earth shows its beauty for all to see.

What is your favorite time of the day and why?

3 p.m. There’s something magical about how the sun shines upon the dust particles in the air and makes it shimmer in the light.
