Join us every third Sunday for an extra hour of fun at the Fleet!  

Every third Sunday of the month, we open an hour earlier for members only. This includes:

• Additional gallery time from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. 
• Member-exclusive ball pool time 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. 
• Special interactive science demos
• Member-exclusive IMAX®documentary film at 10 a.m. in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater

Household Exhibit members can purchase a film ticket for $8.95

 

April 19 at 10 a.m. —Dream Big

From the Great Wall of China and the world’s tallest buildings to underwater robots and solar cars, Dream Big: Engineering Our World celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels big and small, and shows how engineers push the limits of innovation in unexpected and amazing ways. Narrated by Jeff Bridges, Dream Big will transform how you think about engineering.

May 17 at 10 a.m. —Deep Sea

Directed by San Diego resident and world-renowned underwater cinematographer Howard Hall, Deep Sea will transport audiences deep below the ocean surface to swim with some of the most exotic creatures on the planet, from the bizarre Rainbow Nudibranch to the Giant Pacific Octopus.

Renovation Updates

This spring, our entrance is moving back to its original location next to the Giant Dome IMAX® Theater. When the renovation is complete, the old theater lobby will be transformed into a brand-new, free-to-the-public entrance gallery, complete with a central ticket counter and streamlined access to both the theater and exhibit galleries.

To ensure smooth entry to both the exhibit galleries and the theater, we are introducing a simple check-in process for members.

Option 1: Add a Photo to Your Membership (Recommended)

• Stop by the ticket counter once to have your photo taken. This allows for quick, seamless entry on future visits, with no need to show your ID each time.

Option 2: Show a Photo ID with Your Membership Card

• Present a form of photo ID, along with your digital or physical membership card, at entry points throughout the building.

We appreciate your flexibility during this transition and can’t wait for you to experience this exciting next chapter.
