The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center presents an exclusive private screening of Star Wars: the Force Awakens on Thursday, December 17—a day before the official opening!

Join the pre-screening party at the Fleet, featuring food and drink from local breweries, distilleries and restaurants; themed science activities; and a chance to meet R2-D2 and Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion.

San Diego—Be among the first to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens when the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center presents an exclusive private screening of the movie on Thursday, December 17, 2015—a day before the official opening!

First, celebrate with a pre-screening party at the Fleet starting at 7 p.m. Meet R2-D2, hang with Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion and enjoy free drinks and food from local restaurants, distilleries and breweries. You'll have an opportunity to discuss light speed travel and the possibility of visiting exoplanets with local scientists, and witness a demonstration on how hover transportation could work. You'll also enjoy fun, themed science activities such as making your own lightsaber and using mind control to play a video game. Come in costume for a chance to win fabulous prizes. By 9:45 p.m. you'll be riding in style to the film thanks to our private motorcoaches. We'll take you right to the AMC Mission Valley IMAX theater for this very special screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The film begins at 10:30 p.m.

Admission for the film screening and pre-screening party are $95 general admission and $75 for Fleet members & students (valid membership or student ID MUST be shown at check-in.)

Tickets include the pre-party with tastes from local restaurants, drink samples and themed science activities, motorcoach transportation and a seat in the theater for the private screening.

Seating is limited so be sure to purchase your tickets early!

Please note: This event is open to Star Wars fans ages 21 and up. All attendees must bring their IDs.

The Fleet is available to preview the Star Wars pre-screening party either here at the Fleet or in your studio. We can arrange an appearance by R2-D2, Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion or local scientists who can talk about the science behind the phenomena of the Star Wars universe, such as robotics or space travel.

A limited number of media passes can also be made available for the pre-screening party. Please note that media passes will only be available for the pre-screening party and will not include admission to the private screening of the film.
