The Fleet Science Center hosts full-day Spring Camps
San Diego, CA--The Fleet Science Center offers exciting options to help keep kids active and learning about science, technology, engineering, art and math during spring break.
The Fleet's full-day Spring Camps are available every day from Monday, March 25, through Friday, March 29. The camps take place at the Fleet and feature fun, educational, hands-on activities for kids in grades 1 through 8.
In the STEAM Spring Camps for grades 1-3, kids can experiment with hydropower, learn about the ocean and investigate the great outdoors. Each day of camp will incorporate important skills using science, technology, engineering, art and math. Activities are designed to be hands-on, encourage inquiry and make science learning fun and accessible.
For grades 4-8, the Fleet is partnering with ThoughtSTEM to host Computer Science and Technology Spring Camps. Each day campers will learn how to create a unique 2D video game, inspired by popular games and movies, with topics like Coding for Star Wars Fans and Coding for Fortnite Fans. In addition to learning how to code, students will also be guided in the ways of digital citizenship and how to appropriately and safely share their fan-fiction work with the world.
