Olimpia Vazquez-Ojeda
Olimpia was born in Tijuana, Baja California, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. With over a decade of experience in arts and culture administration across México, California, Colorado, and New Mexico, she has worked on a range of impactful projects. Olimpia has coordinated archaeological projects and museum exhibitions for the Mexican Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) and developed school-based programs for organizations like the National Park Service, Barrio Logan College Institute, and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD). Passionate about cultural preservation and community learning, she also directed a documentary project on the ceramic tradition of Native Paipai women in Baja California. Today, Olimpia works as a Program Manager for A Reason to Survive (ARTS), leading a dynamic team that develops youth-centered arts and culture programs to advance community well-being.
