Craveology Cafe and the North Star Science Store are temporarily closed for renovation.
Scout Workshops
Registration is now open!
The Fleet Science Center provides hands-on workshops for Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts throughout the year. Engaging workshops offer in-depth science explorations and provide focused learning experiences that go toward completing scouts' badge requirements.
Public Scout Workshops
These workshops offer an excellent chance to connect and interact with fellow Scout troops. Each workshop is led by a member of our education team and includes admission to the exhibit galleries after the workshop.
Price:
$25 per Scout
We adhere to the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts chaperone policies, requiring each troop present to be accompanied by two unrelated and scout-registered adults. These chaperones receive free general admission and accompany their scouts in the workshop classroom. Additional adults who are not registered with scouting associations will not be permitted in the classroom, unless the number of scouts participating from one troop exceeds the ratio for the two leading adults.

Full List of Offered Programs
CS Arrow of Light: Engineer
Lots of people have great ideas: flying to the moon, tunneling under rivers, building robots that walk and talk, or making triple-loop rollercoasters. Engineers turn those ideas into reality. They use science, math and creative thinking to improve people's lives.
CS Bear: Forensics
Everywhere you go, you leave behind clues: fingerprints on your juice glass, DNA on your toothbrush, bits of fabric on your favorite chair, and footprints in your yard. Criminals leave behind clues, too.
CS Bear: Super Science
Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue or how gravity works or what makes a rainbow? Scientists wonder about those things too.
CS Webelos: Earth Rocks
Rocks and minerals are more than just things that lie in the ground. Yes, they help form our planet, but people also use them to create things that make our lives easier.
CS Wolf: Air of the Wolf
It's time to take flight! Do you know the secret to making a paper airplane fly longer or farther? In this adventure, you'll have fund making different types of airplanes and other flying objects.
CS Wolf: Germs Alive!
In this adventure, you'll get to explore how to keep your body healthy. Why is it important to wash your hands? why is the slimy mucus in your nose (yep, snot) important to your health?
GS Ambassador: STEM Career Exploration
Find out how a career with STEM will help you shape the world for the better.
GS Brownies: Home Scientist
Find ways that you can use science every day! Experience cool science activities and investigations you can do with materials found at home.
GS Brownies: Mechanical Engineering: Race Car
Think and design like a mechanical engineer by creating a race car and exploring the science of flight.
GS Cadette: Robotics 2: Designing Robots
Build a prototype of a new kind of robot that could help someone to overcome a daily obstacle. Decide on a challenge, brainstorm solutions, plan, build a prototype, and test it to see how well it meets the challenge.
