Image

It’s #FleetsterFriday! This week, get to know Rancho Bernardo resident, Andia Pebdani. She's the Education Manager of Public Programs at the Fleet Science Center. You can often find Andia facilitating Junior and Weekend Science Clubs as well as working hard for kids in the Fleet’s Summer Camps! Spots for Summer Camp are filling up quickly, so reserve your child’s spot TODAY!

Describe your job in four words:

Creating fun educational opportunities.

Why did you decide to do the work you are doing now?

I first visited the Fleet in 1996 as a child and fell in love with this museum. The way that this museum encourages kids to think, interact and explore the world around them has always stuck with me and has played a major part in drawing me into education as a profession.

What is your favorite exhibit at the Fleet and why?

Cheshire Cat. I love optical illusions and it’s a character from one of my favorite books!

Finish this sentence: I love science because …

You can find it everywhere (art, film, food, music)!

What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years?

Is it cold in here or is it just me?
