The Summer of You is in full swing at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. This is our way of saying “thank you” for giving us 40 years of wonderful memories. Without you, we could never accomplish our mission to inspire lifelong learning by helping the public engage with science and technology. We invite you to visit us and join in the celebration of YOU.

How are we celebrating you? Well, the Fleet will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily during the summer. We have also counted your votes for your all-time favorite IMAX film (public voting was conducted in May and June 2013), and the top nine films will be shown during the Fleet’s 40th Anniversary Fan Favorite Film Festival. The Festival runs July 5 through September 5, 2013, and features favorites such as Hubble, Everest, Dolphins and Mysteries of Egypt.

Plus, the Fleet is opening a new exhibition in August, On the Fly: Technology Takes Off, which explores the subjects of UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) technology and aerodynamics. The exhibition will also allow you to create your own aircraft and see how well they fly!

The Tinkering Studio will also be open daily from noon to 4:45 p.m. Use the Tinkering Studio to design and build an invention of your very own. We have the materials and the know-how; all you need to bring is your imagination.

The fun doesn’t stop there. You can also build awe-inspiring skyscrapers, bridges or anything else that you can think of with KEVA planks in the popular interactive exhibition Block Busters! Kids and adults love to build with the KEVA planks. However, everyone quickly discovers that knocking down their creation is just as fun as building it.

We can’t wait to see you here at the Fleet and share our love with science with you. Thank you for your support.
