San Diego, CA—The Fleet Science Center offers exciting options to help keep kids active and learning about science and technology during Thanksgiving break. In the Fall Technology Camps, kids can design hovercrafts, learn about robotics, explore movie special effects and make their own stop-motion videos.
The full-day camps are available from Monday, November 22, through Wednesday, November 24. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and take place at the Fleet Science Center. All camps incorporate the Science Center exhibit galleries and feature engaging activities for grades 1 through 3.
Registration for the Fall Technology Camps is now open. Prices for all three days are $150 for members, $165 for nonmembers.

November 22—Sci-Fi Camp: Use science fiction as an inspirational tool to create your own galactic adventure. Campers will build self-propelled moving scribble bots, design hovercrafts and recreate movie special effects with dry ice.

November 23—Robotics Camp: Explore the world of virtual reality and coding through hands-on activities that make basic coding concepts fun and interactive. Campers will work in teams to construct and program robots to perform to complete an obstacle course.

November 24—Lights, Camera, Action! Campers will learn about optics such as long and short exposure photography and light and color movement through prisms. After learning about different filming techniques, kids will direct their own mini- and stop-motion videos.
