SAN DIEGO, October 22, 2013 – Shannon Miller, the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history, is the featured speaker at the fifth event of the 2013 ScholarShare Speaks speaker series. The event, “Winning Every Day with Shannon Miller: Life Lessons from an Olympian, Mom, Entrepreneur and Cancer Survivor,” will be held on Tuesday, November 12, at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in San Diego. 

 

The free presentation will begin at 7PM and provide women with information they need to make informed decisions on health and fitness for themselves and their families.

 

“We are thrilled to have Shannon Miller participate in our speaker series,” said Zeny Agullana, executive director at ScholarShare Investment Board. “Her unparalleled accomplishments as a gymnast and her courageous battle with cancer will surely inspire during this special event.”

 

Prior to the event, ScholarShare Speaks will host a reception for registered guests, where they’ll enjoy the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center’s exhibits. The Fleet features more than 100 interactive science exhibits in eight galleries, as well as major traveling exhibitions.
