Educator Workshop: Brown Bag Innovation
Can your invention save the day? Join other educators and work together to build an item for a user with specific needs. Using the engineering design process, innovation, teamwork, empathy and resilience, groups can practice valuable skills that help guide them to success. This workshop explores the inquiry process and the excitement of design challenges through an interactive and highly engaging lesson that can be incorporated into your classroom. This workshop will be held at the Fleet Science Center, please enter through the business office.

Summer Inquiry Institute

The Summer Inquiry Institute is a three-day professional learning experience for educators in the San Diego area. Join your fellow teachers and experience inquiry as a learner, examine different approaches to hands-on learning, explore NGSS science and engineering practices (SEPs) through phenomena, engage in full scientific inquiry and consider ways to include inquiry in your own classroom.

About the Fleet Inquiry Institute
Since its inception in 2002 the Fleet Inquiry Institute has worked with over 14,000 educators in long-term, on-site and in-classroom professional development programs. We work with community partners to create and implement K-12 grade teacher professional development based on the process of science and learning science through inquiry.
