Power-Up! Inside Video Games

Join us on the last Thursday of the month in July, August and September to meet with video game specialists to discuss the creative elements that bring all of our favorite video games to life. Get the inside scoop on video games, from the way they’re developed to becoming a pro player, straight from video game insiders.

Event details:

6 to 6:30 p.m.: Meet & Greet with the speaker(s) in the theater lobby.

6:30 to 8 p.m.: Talk or panel discussion in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater.

Cost: $5. 

Tickets: Tickets can be purchased online (see specific link for each event below) and at the ticket counter at the Fleet Science Center.

August 31—An Evening with John Smedley from Amazon Game Studios

This month we welcome John Smedley from Amazon Game Studios. John Smedley is a veteran in the video game industry, having worked for Sony Entertainment and Daybreak on blockbusters such as Everquest. In tonight’s talk he’ll cover workforce diversity, how to get into the gaming industry and the business aspect of AAA games. The discussion will run 7–8:30 p.m. Come early to enjoy Game Masters: The Exhibition and for a meet-and-greet with John Smedley at 6 p.m. Cost: $19.95.
