Make, Take and Teach
Exploring Energy Through Circuits
Tired of leaving workshops with a full mind but empty hands? Come to the Fleet's next Make, Take and Teach: Exploring Energy Through Circuits at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 10.
Using inquiry, you'll explore energy transfer using squishy circuits and block circuits. Then you'll build your own block circuits and take what you make back to your students!
This workshop guides you through a standards-aligned activity, and the Fleet provides the materials that you can take back to your classroom.
This workshop also uses inexpensive, everyday and easily accessible materials, making it perfect for porting directly into your classroom.
Who is this workshop for?
Teachers, informal educators and after-school providors who are interested in learning new ways to incorporate inquiry with their students, specifically as it relates to energy and energy transfer.
What science standards are covered in this workshop?
4-PS3-2. Make observations to provide evidence that energy can be transferred from place to place by sound, light, heat, and electric currents.
What is included in this workshop?
Registration covers the cost of the workshop and materials to build block circuits and Fleet Science Center admission following the workshop.
