Over the past 50 years, the Fleet Science Center has had a tremendous impact on the San Diego County community. We have welcomed millions of visitors, hosted hundreds of exhibits and events, and inspired countless individuals to pursue careers in STEM. Our programs and exhibits have brought science to life, sparking curiosity and encouraging exploration.

Upcoming Events
Be among the first to see our newest documentary film in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater. In celebration of the opening, we’re hosting an Ancient Caves POP (Public Opening Party)—and you’re invited! This party will feature fun activities, giveaways and special surprises.
For 50 years, the Fleet Science Center has been elevating science and serving our community—and we are throwing a party to celebrate! Join us for a fun evening with 1973 flair. Bell bottoms are optional for this groovy event, which begins with a reception in the Fleet’s galleries followed by a special program in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater, a live auction, a three-course dinner and dancing.
Better Education for Women in Science and Engineering (BE WiSE) will be hosting the welcome events for the 2023 cohort. The BE WiSE program aims to engage female and female-identifying students in grades 7-12 with exciting STEM learning experiences in partnership with the region's research, industry and academic institutions.
