Teacher and Scientist NGSS Roundtable
How is MRSEC working together with the Fleet Science Center?
In an effort to intentionally reach the public, the UC San Diego MRSEC team will work with the Fleet Science Center to connect the community to the work that will be happening at MRSEC. Teacher-Scientist Roundtable is one way that the UC San Diego MRSEC team will work with the Fleet Science Center to connect teachers to explore Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the expertise of MRSEC scientists.
Additionally, the Fleet will also engage in community listening to help inform the design of MRSEC educational programs that can reach the public.
Who should attend?
Middle school and high school teacher who lead or will be leading science inquiry within their classrooms in the upcoming academic year to attend.
Stipend Information and Payment
Teachers who register and successfully complete the criteria are eligible for a $100 stipend for their participation.
Eligible participants will receive payment of stipend upon completion and submission of all required criteria. The Fleet Science Center will be responsible for the distribution of the stipend payments via mail.
